But it also feels pretty clear this version of the team may have hit its ceiling. Donovan Mitchell hasn’t looked like “Spida,” the defensive issues (James Harden being old and not trying most of the time) have been impossible to ignore, and when you combine that with contract pressure and coaching questions, it feels like major changes are coming. That’s the reality of the NBA: windows close fast, expectations rise even faster, and eventually hard decisions have to be made.
